10/31/06 - Happy Halloween! Check the Gallery for photos and video of this year. Thanks for coming. 393 through the haunt on trick or treat night plus many that just got candy and chickened out. 5 peetalities and one admitted pootality - don't ask me to explain these terms - figure them out for yourself, heh, heh.
10/2/06 - Halloween radio took to the air last night on October 1st. If you want to hear the songs and promo for the haunt they can be found playing automatically on our MySpace or HauntSpace pages. Go visit them and become our friends! Also, see the Gallery page for new photos of the setup and a brief video, but beware that if you are on dial up it may take ages to load. Also, we'd like to send a thank you to the Dread Pirate Brett for his donation to the haunt - hope your own home haunt goes well thar' Cap'n - aaaaarrrrrr. That's about it for now - don't forget to stop by and see the progress and if you see the tombstone that says "Halloween Radio 88FM On Air" then by all means tune in for some music to make your blood curdle.
9/11/06 - The new site is up and running with the intro movie. BTW - the music and sound effects are from "Disfigured Listening I" which can be purchased at

Now go and check out the new site! And don't forget to go to www.CreepYouOut.com and get a Creep Portrait of yourself for Halloween.
As a side note I had a scare from the Department of Agriculture yesterday. They apparently govern amusement parks and haunted houses in PA and they wanted me to go through all the paperwork for the Manor. Luckily the gentleman was very nice and understood that we run a FREE display for the neighborhood. I thought for a couple of hours there we were going to be shut down - whew!
Lucky us and you!
9/8/06 - Well I didn't make the Labor Day target, but I did add a Saturday lights on tour. Check it out above. Last year we had many kids miss out on candy because we had it at the end of the house. Those who were too scared didn't go through didn't get. This was not our intention, but because the haunt in the house was something we hadn't done before we didn't anticipate the extra "Chicken" factor that a darkened inside haunt causes. This year everyone gets candy Thursday night at the entrance to the house, and we encourage parents of frightened children to avoid the haunted adventure tour. With this in mind we decided to have an afternoon tour with the lights on, no music, and no monsters. Everyone is invited to visit us and see the Manor up close with us along as tour guides. NO SCARES. We enjoy this stuff and our goal is to have you and your family enjoy it too. Not to traumatize children who will one day grow up and hate Halloween and protest us with giant signs.
8/31/06 - the new site is taking shape and should go live by Labor Day. The old site still exists with all the past photos and how to's, but it's content will eventually be migrated here as time permits.Keep an eye on this page for updates and don't forget to join our mailing list so you don't miss a thing about the Nightmare - the link to join is at the bottom of every page. Also, check out our MySpace page and become a friend of the Castle. Something new we're trying is the HauntSpace site - it's sort of like MySpace except for Halloween nuts like us. Check it out too. |
